Filter selection must be made when ordering this kit, there is a choice between two different filters, one for shallow oil pans and the other for deep oil pans.

How do you know if you have a shallow or deep oil pan?

If you have an oil pan that is completely flat on the underside, it is shallow.

But if it is not flat and instead has a step on the underside, it is a deep oil pan.

Corvettes from 1997 and up also have their own filter, which is easiest to identify via the pictures above.
